Our first presentation was given by Faiz and Izul on 12/1/11 on the first topic about CALL. They were good and explained a lot about CALL although it was only the introduction of subject. They touched on CAI which stands for Computer-Assisted Instruction or CAL which stands for Computer Assisted Learning where the computer is the platform for an interactive learning. They also gave examples and showed links on how to use computer as one of the learning tools in classroom. CALL stands for Computer-Assisted Language Learning where the students use the application to improve their learning. They did mention about the advantages of CALL and types of CALL programs (1.CALL Software application program, 2.Generic Software, 3.CMC, 4. Web-based instruction). Thumbs up!!
However, in my opinion, Faiz and Izul can improve a bit where Faiz I think he should explain his chapter carefully and not too fast. He also should be more confident when giving the answers. Izul looked scare though he managed to explain it well. Overall, they have set good remarks for other members to present their tasks.
