Second presentation was handled by Nadia and Farah. They talked about roles of computer and how to use computer in language class. Here, I will summarize that computer works as a tutor for language drills and practice, as a tool for writing, presenting and researching and as a medium for communication. Nowadays, it's very easy for the students to learn using the computer. Not exaggerate to say that most of the students have their own computer at home. So, they can use the computer as self-access learning or distance learning with the teachers. It was good when Nadia touched on advantages and disadvantages of computer. Obviously, computer is very expensive to buy especially for low-income family. But do you know that government provides many notebooks to the students for free?? Students from low-income family can apply for free notebook and as far as I concern, many of the students have received the notebooks last year. TM also launched a free notebook last few years to all people with different level from primary school to university students. So, grab the chance and get your own computer!!
